anyways, during my time of "intense" yearbook studying, i ended up on some guys page and his ideas of guides to dating and im stealing some point from him that i found amusing, true, or both:


Measure love by effort not material things
Most girls fall easily for gifts of roses, chocolates and whispers of `sweet-nothings`. But any guy can fork over a few bucks for flowers and jewellery. Instead, you should judge your guy by how much blood, sweat and tears he gives to you (effort). Any rich guy can buy you things, any poor guy can sweet-talk, but not all guys will devote their time and energy for you. Here is something I once did in my heydays-I ran around at night sneaking into peoples` gardens and hand-picked a bouquet of blossoms for my ex-love. My lesson is judge your mate by the risks they take for you, not by what they can do for you easily. And yes- I didn`t wear gloves...


Relationship = Investment
Relationships should be beneficial, not sacrificial. If you feel like you are giving up too much of yourself for the sake of someone else, you shouldn`t have to. Think about it this way, when you invest your money in stocks or bonds, there will be ups and downs, but if the stock is continuing to lose, you should dump it before it becomes worthless.


Getting picked up doesn`t necessarily mean you`re hot Just because lots of guys pick you up doesn`t mean you`re hot. Usually it`s the real hot girls that never get picked up because guys are too intimidated by them. If you get picked up a lot, it likely means that you look easy, or you seem like an easy target.


Major peeves
Don`t you get annoyed at the girls who FLATTER themselves by thinking guys always want to rape them and kidnap them- especially the not-so-pretty ones? Don`t assume so much of us and don`t think too highly of yourself. You can be just as annoying. If you`re not into meeting people on the net, then why make elaborate pages about your life story for strangers to view? And girls who put "single and not-looking" on their pages and complain about guys macking on them. If you aren`t looking, why announce your marital status? If you`re not looking and don`t want attention, then just say you`re taken. If you don`t want attention, then get off AA and stop putting up all those half-naked pics of your body. We guys don`t get fooled by your photoshop airbrushing.


Different Farts
There are two kinds of farts; the loud ones that don`t really smell and the silent but deadly ones. Talking to new dating prospects is much like experiencing these types of farts. While some are louder than others, they ultimately are harmless and probably won`t affect you. Some silent ones, don`t get attention, but they sure can affect you! Just because something doesn`t command attention, doesn`t mean you should ignore it!


Be yourself, not someone else
The quirky aspects about yourself will surely engage most mature daters, over the superficial offerings. Instead of showing off and trying hard to win the other person`s affections, be yourself and your own uniqueness will do all the work.
